In 2009, while with MPM, we trusted God for $1,000,000 for the Great Commission Training Center. One donor committed most of that original goal, but with an accountability agreement (we described that accountability agreement in the first newsletter we sent to donors after the money was raised; you can read that here, use password Herbst when prompted). Since then, the conditions of the donor's gift weren't met and the facility is being used for a good but different purpose. The donor committed a specific amount of money with the condition that the project would be done in a certain amount of time and that important agreements would be met. Since then, the project has taken twice as much money, double the time, and the agreements weren't satisfied. The donor originally gave towards the GCA/GCTC vision (see the GCA vision description we gave the donor here). In 2017, MPM decided that the GCA could not happen with MPM. Since the project has cost more than twice as much as originally committed, gone more than twice as long, since several agreements haven't been satisfied, and since MPM decided not to allow the GCA/GCTC vision to happen as planned at Three Trails Ranch, the donor is exercising their original accountability agreement and withdrawing from the project. We love MPM and wish them the best. We hope God blesses them as they pursue their new vision for Three Trails Ranch. If you need more information than that, email [email protected].
