God
There is one true God who exists in a Trinity of three persons, the Father, the Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:26, Matt. 28:18-20).
Jesus
Jesus Christ, who is eternally God, took on humanity, lived a perfect and sinless life, died for the sins of the world, bodily rose from the dead, and ascended back to heaven guaranteeing eternal life for all who believe in Him. We eagerly await His return. (Jn. 1:1, 3:16, 14:6, Eph. 2:6-11).
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit glorifies Christ, points unbelievers to Him, convicts the world of sin, indwells believers at the moment of salvation, and continues teaching, guiding, gifting, and empowering them to live a Christ-like life in His power through faith. (Jn. 7:37-39, 14, 16, Gal. 2:20, 5:22-23, Eph. 5:18).
The Bible
God inspired the inerrant and infallible authorship of His word, the thirty-nine books of the Old Testament and the twenty-seven books of the New Testament that comprise the Bible. He has preserved His word for mankind that through it we may know Him. (2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21).
Creation
God created and sovereignly designed the universe and all that is in it. Neither the universe nor the life that inhabits it are the product of materialistic forces or evolution. Because of man’s sin, the universe is subject to decay and awaiting redemption. (Gen. 1-3, Rom. 1:20, 5:12, 8:20-25).
Humanity
Every person is created in God’s image and dearly loved by God. Man’s sin alienated people from God and no one is able to please God or be restored to relationship with Him through their own effort. Humanity was created for relationship with God and that can only be experienced in and through Jesus Christ (Gen. 1-3, Jn. 3:16, Rom. 3:20, 1 Tim. 2:3-6).
Salvation
It is only by grace and through faith in Jesus Christ that people can be saved from God’s judgment and adopted into His family. Salvation is a gift of God that is available to any who will believe. Believers are justified at salvation, continue being sanctified afterwards, and will be glorified when they see Him face to face. Those who believe in Jesus Christ will live forever in God’s presence in Heaven. Those who do not trust in Him will live forever separated from God in hell. (Lk. 16:19-31, Jn. 1:12, 3:16, 5:24, Rom. 3:28, 5:12, 6:23, 1 Cor. 15:40-43, 2 Cor. 3:18, Eph. 2:8-10).
Believers
Every believer is called to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love their neighbors as themselves. Believers are called to abide in close fellowship with God, glorifying Him in all that they do. Believers are commanded to share Christ with the world around them. (Mk. 12:29-31, Jn. 15, 1 Cor. 10:31).
The Family
God established the family, including a marriage between one man and one woman, at the beginning of human history and before man’s fall, intending the family to be foundational to society and a reflection of Him to the world. Regardless of social trends concerning these issues, believers are called to follow Christ in these areas shining brightly. We must also be careful to reach out to those who disagree with us with gentleness and respect (Matt. 19:4-6, Gen. 1-2, Eph. 5:1-4, 5:21-6:4, Phil. 2:12-18, Col. 3:18-21, 1 Peter 3:1-7, 1 Peter 3:15).
The Church
The Church is the body of Christ, consisting of all who have believed in Jesus. Those believers are to make Him known throughout the world. We believe that leadership within the church should consist of a plurality of leaders. Believers are called to fellowship frequently with each other as the local church and to make disciples of all nations. Jesus would not have given us the Great Commission if He did not intend for us to trust Him for its fulfillment; we yearn to see its fulfillment in our lifetimes. (Matt. 28:18-20, Acts 14:23, Eph. 5:23, Col. 1:18, Titus 1:5, Heb. 10:24-25).
